about the name
The name is unusual but rich with history. An homage to a little cottage in then North Central Austin christened the Steamy Bowl. It's where I fell in love with the Internet and learned to build my first website. It's also where The Gourds were born.
The house was demolished to build a McMansion in 2003 but the name lives on.
